Anne DE BORTOLI nominated for the 2019 PhD thesis prize of the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, presented the original contributions and socio-economic impacts of her PhD research on May 29, 2019 at the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech.
Her thesis, entitled « For a sustainable road maintenance: taking into account the consequences of the road-vehicle interaction in the decision support of resurfacing policies – illustration by a French highway case study », was directed by Fabien Leurent and co-supervised by Adélaïde Féraille (Navier laboratory). It benefited from a sponsorship from the VINCI group, as part of the « Eco-design of buildings and infrastructure » chair.
A communication from her thesis – « Defining road maintenance strategies: a new evaluation method for fair and sustainable resurfacing programs » (A. de Bortoli, A. Feraille, F. Leurent), received the Charles Parey Award, gold medal awarded every 4 years for the best innovation in the road sector.
